There is no point in making a quality product if you can’t prove it. Here at Smith Wilbert, we take quality control very seriously. Since March 7th, 2013, all Redi-Rock blocks manufactured by Smith Wilbert have the date they were born. That date directly corresponds to a quality control checklist to ensure traceability for all of our blocks. How many other manufacturers can say that? |

Sometimes things work out the first time you try them. That was the case for this personalized block manufactured for Kemmerer Corporation. After the Style of the text had been chosen, we proceeded with having the custom insert poured. |
 |
After the custom insert was finnished, it was then inserted into a normal limestone face. |
 |
Concrete dyes and acrylic sealer finnished off the look. If you need a custom Redi-Rock block, let us know. We will be more than happy to fill your needs. |

Every time we start a new job, we must change our forms over to the type that is suitable for the job. There is a lot of work that goes along with this. Changing textures, changing knob sizes, applying color and adjusting our concrete mix design to fulfill the order.
Thankfully we have a dedicated crew to make all of these changes go as easily as possible. One person in particular, Tommy “The Tool Man” has mastered the sequences nessasary to facilitate a quick and well calculated turnover.

Adding color to our Ledgestone texture increases the overall appeal of the product. Here you can see one of our corner molds being doused with a dose of color.

Designing a wall that efficiently drains water, is one of the keys to a good design. The above and below pictures show a custom block that was made for a tall “gravity wall”. 6″ PVC pipe runs straight through the block from the front to the back. The install crew will then attach their drainage system to the 8 inches extending from the back of the block.
This custom block will save the install crew many hours in labor, resulting in a seamless look and a lower cost of installation.
