In 1951, Smith Wilbert Vault Co. joined the Wilbert burial vault family. Through the years, we have grown to become a full service burial vault/service company. Along with our certified Wilbert distributors, Wilbert vaults are available to every funeral home in our franchised territory.
In the early 1970s we saw a demand locally for concrete septic tanks, pumps and associated supplies. We were more the happy to fill that demand and since we have a state of the art casting facility it was a perfect marriage for us and our customers. As the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey change their standards we continue to upgrade our products to meet the regulations.
In 1990, with the realization that the cremation rate was only going to increase, Smith Wilbert expanded it's services to include grave excavation. Currently, Smith Wilbert operates two backhoe crews that opens graves in approximately 90 cemeteries throughout eastern Pennsylvania.
In 2003 Smith Wilbert joined the Redi-Rock retailing wall family being a natural extension of our current product offering. We service the eastern Pennsylvania and northern & western New Jersey.
For over 50 years, Smith Wilbert has been considered the local industry leader. When our customers have spoken, we have listened and responded to their needs. We will continue to strive to exceed our customers expectations, and will continue to be the leader for another 50 years.
